Creators Residency Temper Theatre

The Creators Residency at Temper Theatre with Finn Morrell offered to deepen my vocabulary in physical storytelling and experiment with new ways of integrating sound and light into dramaturgical structure. Stepping away from my familiar role of facilitating other artists’ processes, this residency became a space to challenge conventions, reconnect with my artistic identity, and cultivate work that is bold, resonant, and attuned to the present moment. Through collaboration with interdisciplinary peers, we developed material that expanded my creative language and strengthened the embodied, sensorial dimension of my work. Building on John Yorke’s “Into the Woods”, I shaped the story’s arc for our piece, weaving themes of legacy, togetherness, and intergenerational trauma into a physical narrative that explored how bodies hold memory across time.
